Career of consistency

Marnus Labuschagne has been plagued with viral consistency.

Before 2023, he scored runs for fun. Over 3000 runs in 32 Tests across four years, averaging 56-plus in every calendar year, with a hundred every five or six innings.

Since 2023, still consistent, just in mediocrity. Forty Tests, 1,786 runs with an average under 35 every year. One solitary hundred in 66 innings.

Through it all, the selectors have been just as consistent. They've left him out for only three Tests since the start of 2023.

When and where will we finally see some inconsistency? Will it be from Marnus the batter, or the Australian selectors?

This has always been seen of the Australian selectors. The way they back their players to come good has not been seen of any other board. Feel sorry for Boland though who batted better than Marnus in the last test and had to be dropped for the 3rd test
